Terms and conditions
Lofoten Ski Rental is owned in it's entire by Fjellkompaniet Kurs & Guiding, org.nr.: 918 05 8699 MVA. Lofoten Ski Rental provides a wide range of winter equipment for rent, such as snowshoes, avalanche safety- and ski touring equipent, for private customers and companys. RENTAL HUB OPENING HOURS, AND EQUIPMENT COLLECTION- AND DELIVERY
All rental gear needs to be picked up and returned during our regular opening hours unless arranged otherwise in advance. The rental hub is open every evening 17:00-21:00 and morning 07:00-7:30. You can pick up the equipment from 17:00-21:00, depending on availability, the evening before you need the gear, without any extra costs. Remember to choose this in the "pick up" when ordering!
Please contact us if you have any questions regarding orders, pick up, delivery, and transport etc. We are flexible!

Equipment pick up the evening before the rental period is reccomended, and has no extra costs!
Returning the equipment is flexible within the last day of the selected rentalperiod, Lofoten Ski Rental is also flexible with the drop off outside the opening hours.
On pick up you will need to sign a rental contract, we will also ask for your ID and take a copy of it. Please have your ID with you.
To rent our equipment, a deposit is not necessary, but Lofoten Ski Rental assumes the right to charge for damaged, destroyed, lost, stolen or by any other reasons for load costs to all equipment. The fee will cover the cost of repairs, or purchase price to replace the equipment. A general cost varies between 500,- and 3000,- NOK per item/piece. But the amount of replacement can also be both smaller and larger. The fee is deducted from the debit card that the tenant has stated unless otherwise agreed.
BOOKING, PRICES, SAFETY AND PAYMENTS
All prices are stated in Norwegian Krones (NOK). Prices for equipment rental cover the rental of the equipment only. You will need to collect and return the equipment to Lofoten Ski Rental, Hopsveien 15, 8310, Kabelvåg, unless you arrange a delivery/collection. Costs incurred with the transportation of equipment to another site are not included in the rental price and are to be paid as arranged. Rental fees are to be paid in advance - upon reservation and are subjected to cancellation fees in case of cancellations and changes.
The rental period applies for the dates stipulated in the booking.
The rental period for equipment is per day (1 day of use).
Full payment of the rental costs is required upon booking.
For return of rentals before the day stipuladed in the booking, you will not receive a refund of the rental costs.
If you wish to return rentals later than you indicated on the reservation you need to contact us in advance and check if the equipment is available. If we confirm the date change you need to pay the additional rental fees latest when you return the rentals. Lofoten Ski Rental cannot guarantee you will be able to extend the rental period, but we will do our best.
Lofoten Ski Rental cannot guarantee the availability of equipment in a different size than booked.
The agreement holder is fully responsible for any damage or loss of rented items. If a rental object is damage and/or has lost its functionality the customer has to pay the retail price of the equiment, or the costs of repairs, regardless of the reason. The client is also responsible for any other person who he/she allows to use the equipment. Lofoten Ski Rental assumes no financial responsibility for loss or injury to people, property, business affairs or the like which may arise through the use of the rented equipment.
Any problems with the equipment should be immediately reported to Lofoten Ski Rental by e-mail or phone.
Participatation in outdoor sports and activities involves a certain level of risk of accidents and/or injury to persons and/or equiment. All activities are at te customers own responsibility and risk. Lofoten Ski Rental does not offer cancellation protection, travel- or accident insurance. The customer is responsible for any insurance that covers the activity in which they participate.
As a customer, you acknowledge that even if all safety instructions and risk warning are followes, outdoor- and moutain activities still involves risk. As a customer, you assume full and comlete responsibility for your own responsibility for your own safety and waive the right to hold Lofoten Ski Rental, ther partners, and supervisors/instructors/guides responsible for damage to persons and/or equipment occuring during the rental period.

CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES
The customer must cancel their booking thru the booking site, or in written form, either by e-mail or SMS.
Cancellations of bookings for all rental services:
Cancellations received within 1 hour of making the reservation or more than 45 days prior to the date of a rental: no charge
45-30 days prior to the date of rental: 25% of the total rental price
29-10 days prior to the date of rental: 50% of the total rental price
Less than 10 days prior to the date of rental: 100% of the total rental price
These general terms and conditions apply between Lofoten Ski Rental and the customer who enters an agreement on behalf of themselves or a third party. The agreement applies for rental of equipment. Equipment rentals are paid in full when booking, picking up the equipment at the rental’s address or when delivered to the customer.
Payment and prices
Payment is made in the booking system on our website through our payment provider STRIPE, which meets the strictest security requirements. The tenant pays at the time of booking and then the rental agreement is recognized as concluded.
All prices are inclusive of VAT. The total cost of the purchase will be stated before ordering and include all expenses associated with rental or purchase. If there have been errors with the prices of significant size from Lofoten Ski Rentals side on the website, Lofoten Ski Rental may unilaterally change, delete or reject orders even after the customer has received an order confirmation or similar. Such errors must, however, be corrected and informed to the customer within a reasonable time after the error has been discovered.
Condition of the rental object
Lofoten Ski Rental is committed to delivering high quality equipment in operational condition, and strict routines that control and maintain the rental objects before and after rental.
As a customer, you are responsible for all damage or loss to the equipment during the rental period. Liability may be waived if the damage or loss is due to technical faults or defects. The renter is therefore obliged to check the rental object before use and contact Lofoten Ski Rental if the rental object is not in the expected condition.
Use of the rented objects
Use of rental objects is at your own risk.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that equipment and accessories are used in such a way that they are not damaged or destroyed.
Correct and safe use of the equipment is the customer's responsibility. Lofoten Ski Rental facilitates the correct use of the equipment by providing instructions and showing how the equipment should be used. It is the customer's responsibility to familiarize themselves with proper use and safety procedures before using the equipment.
The customer or cardholder authorizes Lofoten Ski Rental to issue credit card instructions for, among other things, rental objects that are not returned, are dirty beyond normal or in the event of damage to the rental object. This authorization also applies to the authorization to charge the payment card for additional rent/claims for damages if the rental object is returned after the expiry of the agreed rental period or is returned with errors or defects, regardless of the reason.
Damage
All damage, technical faults or accidents that may occur during the rental period must be reported to Lofoten Ski Rental immediately. We will then do our best to help the tenant. Damage must be reported to Rental@fjellkompaniet.com or +47 464 51 075 immediately. This also applies to theft.
If the damage is caused by misuse, intent or negligence, Lofoten Ski Rental will be able to charge for damaged, destroyed, lost, stolen or by any other reasons to cover the costs associated with repair, service or replacement of the tool. This also applies if the equipment is returned in a neglected condition or is delivered dirty beyond normal.

We always strive to provide the best advice and tips for the use of the rental item, but are not liable for workmanship or for direct or indirect damage or loss resulting from the use of the rental item, delays or defects in the rental item.
Collect and return
When the equipment is returned, Lofoten Ski Rental controls the rental objects condition and function and that all parts that are rented have been submitted.
Withdrawal right on purchase
The right of withdrawal gives you the right to undo your purchases. The right of withdrawal applies to goods purchased and not to rental objects. The right of withdrawal presupposes that within 14 days of receiving the delivery you will notify us (see the right of withdrawal https://lovdata.no/document/nl/lov/2014-06-20-27).
Intangible rights
The content and service are protected by the Act on the Act of Intellectual Property. Image material stored on the page is obtained with permission from licensees.
Privacy Policy
Lofoten Ski Rental processes your personal information in a secure data register in order to fulfill its obligations and safeguard their rights in accordance with the lease. The personal information that is processed is the name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and order history. This history will remain stored for accounting and other obligations. All saved information is available on "My Account". As a customer, you have the right to have your personal information removed from Lofoten Ski Rentals systems, which is done by personal contact to us.
Your debit card will be saved as long as you have an active order. Storage of the payment card is done at our payment provider STRIPE. They keep the information in a safe and sound manner. Departure card storage makes it even easier when booking. You can delete debit cards on your page. Lofoten Ski Rental stores no credit card details.

Changes
Lofoten Ski Rental reserves the right to amend or replace these terms at all times. When using the service after the changes in the terms are made available on LSR's website, you agree to be bound by the updated terms.
